The Copper Double Spiral is one of those symbols that looks simple until you understand how much meaning is actually behind it.

Spirals are among the oldest sacred symbols found throughout human history, representing movement, cycles, transformation, creation, and the continuous flow of life. The double spiral brings two of those movements together, often interpreted as the balance between opposing but connected energies: inward and outward, giving and receiving, expansion and grounding, light and dark, beginnings and endings.

One spiral moves inward toward the center while the other moves outward, creating a beautiful reminder that life and healing don’t happen in a straight line. Sometimes we need to go inward. Sometimes we’re called to expand. Sometimes we revisit something we thought we’d already moved through. But through all of it, we remain connected to our center.

Why Copper?

Each Double Spiral is handmade from copper, a metal humans have worked with for thousands of years.

Copper is naturally one of the world’s best conductors of electricity, which is one of the reasons it has also become deeply associated with energy, grounding, connection, and energetic flow in traditional and spiritual practices.

Many people describe wearing copper as feeling grounding or stabilizing, especially when worn close to the body. Energetically, I think of copper as a material that works beautifully with sacred geometry because the metal itself represents conductivity while the shape gives that energy a pattern and direction.

Made With Intention

These aren’t stamped out by a machine or ordered by the hundreds.

I make each Double Spiral by hand, with intention, using the same intentional process I use when creating my triskelions. Every bend and curve and spiral is formed individually.

That also means no two will ever be identical. There may be tiny differences in the shape, hammering, patina, or spacing of the spirals. That’s part of owning something that was actually made by someone’s hands instead of coming off an assembly line.
