Electromagnetic Energy

Electromagnetic Energy, Grounding & You

You Are an Electromagnetic Being

Your body is not just chemistry. It is electrical too.

Every heartbeat, every thought, every muscle contraction, and every message traveling through your nervous system involves electrical activity. Your heart and brain generate electrical signals that can be measured with tools like an ECG and EEG, and electrical activity in the body produces associated electromagnetic fields.

At the same time, we live inside a massive electrically and magnetically active environment. The Earth has its own magnetic field, the atmosphere carries electrical charge, and activity from the Sun can disturb Earth’s magnetic environment.

We are not separate from that environment. We are living biological systems operating inside it.

The Schumann Resonance

Between the surface of the Earth and the ionosphere is a naturally occurring electromagnetic cavity. Lightning strikes around the planet continually excite extremely low frequency electromagnetic resonances within this space. These are known as the Schumann Resonances.

When you see dramatic colors or “spikes” on a Schumann Resonance chart, that is often when people report an increase in the physical and emotional symptoms they are experiencing.

These charts show changes in signal amplitude, intensity, interference, atmospheric conditions, and activity detected by individual monitoring stations. There are monitoring stations in places such as Tomsk, Russia and Cumiana, Italy, along with smaller stations around the world.

And I think this is where paying attention to your own body becomes really important. When you feel weird, off, edgy, etc and you don’t know why- check these charts! Often people who start to check these charts find that there’s a significant correlation with the strange symptoms they’re experiencing.

Apps I Use Regularly

Below are some of the Apps I use to access the different charts and data. I’m not associated with any of these, use at your own risk and all that, but some of these are pretty awesome and the apps have been super helpful.

Solar Activity & Geomagnetic Storms

The Sun is constantly interacting with Earth.

Solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and changes in the solar wind can disturb Earth’s magnetosphere. When those disturbances become strong enough, we experience geomagnetic storms. These are measurable events that scientists track using magnetometers and indices such as the Kp index.

And this is where things get particularly interesting- Researchers have investigated associations between geomagnetic activity and human physiology, including changes involving the autonomic nervous system, heart rate variability, cardiovascular function, sleep, circadian rhythms and other biological processes.

Research in this area is still developing, and not every symptom someone experiences during a geomagnetic event can automatically be attributed to that event. But that does not mean you should ignore what your own body is telling you.

What Do People Feel During These Spikes?

A lot of people report feeling physically and emotionally different during periods of intense solar activity, geomagnetic storms, and dramatic activity appearing on Schumann Resonance charts.

Some of the symptoms and experiences people report include:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Head and sinus pressure
  • Neck and back pain
  • Muscle aches and body pain
  • Insomnia and disrupted sleep
  • Waking repeatedly throughout the night
  • Feeling completely exhausted but strangely wired
  • Anxiety
  • Sudden feelings of panic
  • Panic attacks
  • Heart palpitations or becoming unusually aware of your heartbeat
  • Chest discomfort
  • Stomach upset
  • Nausea
  • Digestive issues and changes in digestion
  • Fatigue
  • Brain fog
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Dizziness
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Feeling restless or overstimulated
  • Irritability
  • Emotional intensity
  • Vivid or unusual dreams

There is published research examining relationships between geomagnetic activity and cardiovascular function, autonomic nervous system activity, heart rate variability, sleep, circadian rhythms, and other physiological processes.

That does not mean every headache or sleepless night is coming from the Sun. It means there is enough happening here that I think we should be paying attention instead of immediately dismissing what people are experiencing.

And there is an important practical distinction here. Chest pain, significant heart palpitations, severe headaches, or other concerning symptoms should never automatically be assumed to be caused by solar or geomagnetic activity. Those symptoms can have other causes and should be taken seriously.

So now you know it’s happening, and that it can create physical effects in the body, so what can be done to help ease the physical and mental effects of these energies?

The KEY is to Pay Attention to Your Own Body!

This is one of the biggest things I want people to take away from this page.

Start paying attention.

Watch the Schumann charts.

Watch the Kp index.

Pay attention when a solar flare occurs or a CME reaches Earth.

Then pay attention to yourself.

How did you sleep?

How does your body feel?

Are you suddenly exhausted?

Are you wired and unable to sleep?

Do you have a headache?

Does your back hurt?

Is your stomach acting differently?

Do you feel unusually anxious or emotional?

Is your heart pounding?

You may notice absolutely nothing.

Or after watching long enough, you may start recognizing patterns in your own body.

Write them down. Track them. Learn yourself.

Observe instead of fear

Notice what is happening in the environment. Notice what is happening in your body. And when you are feeling overloaded, come back to the Earth.

Think of Yourself Like a Cell Phone

I like to explain grounding this way: We are a lot like cell phones. Like more than I can explain!

We are electrical beings operating in an electromagnetic world, and modern life can leave us feeling like our batteries are running on 3%.

Screens. WiFi. Phones. Artificial lighting. Stress. Constant information. Noise. Lack of sleep. Electronics everywhere. Being indoors all day.

Then there are times when the environment itself is particularly active and some of us feel even more depleted, overstimulated, or completely tired but wired.

What do you do when your phone gets down to 3%?

You plug it in.

That is how I think about grounding.

Plug yourself back into the Earth.

Grounding is our version of putting ourselves back on the charger.

You can walk outside feeling completely fried, spend some time barefoot in the garden, and come back feeling calmer, clearer, steadier, and recharged. Your body knows what nature feels like.

Sometimes we just forget to connect to it!! But don’t worry, because I’ll never stop reminding you guys to ground!

You Do Not Have to Buy Anything to Ground

I want to make this really clear, especially because we sell grounding tools. You do not need to buy something to ground yourself.

Go outside. Seriously.

Some of the best grounding tools on Earth are dirt, grass, trees, water, sunshine, a garden and your own two feet.

But I also understand that we cannot spend our entire lives barefoot in the redwoods (although this is my personal plan- I live on a mountain surrounded by Redwoods and it’s a whole vibe 🙂 You should come visit Humboldt!)

But since I still have to participate in the 3D, I had to find ways to protect myself and now, after years of research, learning and testing different tools, I’m finally at the point where I found the things that ACTUALLY work and can share them with you guys. We work on computers. We travel. We sleep indoors. We spend hours surrounded by electronics. And that is where those grounding and electromagnetic environment tools can become useful.

I have experimented with and tested a LOT of them.

I have used my various meters to compare products and see what they actually do electrically or electromagnetically rather than simply trusting the claims printed on the box.

Some impressed me.

Some did not.

The products you will find at Sacred Humboldt are the ones I personally found worth offering.

That includes tools already available through Sacred Humboldt, such as this grounding laptop EMF protection blanket and this GIA home frequency harmonizer, with more coming as I continue testing products and getting inventory ready.

Whenever possible, I will explain what I measured, what the product is designed to do, and how I personally use it so you can decide whether it belongs in your life.

Every item I sell on this website is something I use regularly or have personally used. I only offer tools I personally use or have used, and my goal with the items available through Sacred Humboldt is to make the tools I have found valuable available and affordable for other people who want to support their own bodies and healing practices.

I have meticulously sourced the items I carry, all the way down to the type of copper wire I use.

I look at materials. Purity. Testing. Chemicals. Pesticides. Construction. Ingredients. Sourcing. And whether the product actually does what I am buying it to do.

I am probably the pickiest sourcer of products I know.

I have done deep research into these things, experimented with them, tested many of them myself, and found tools that have been helpful enough in my own life that I want other people to have access to them too.

Many of the tools you will find on this website are tools I have personally incorporated into my own healing practices.

I am not interested in filling Sacred Humboldt with hundreds of products just because somebody put the words “healing,” “frequency,” or “EMF protection” on the packaging.

I want to know what I am giving you.

Why Copper?

There is a reason you will see so much copper around Sacred Humboldt.

Copper is an incredible healing tool, and conductor of electrical energy, which is why humans have used it for thousands of years and why today it is used extensively in electrical wiring, grounding systems, electronics, shielding, and countless other applications.

Copper and grounding are a natural combination because copper conducts electrical charge extremely well. That is why I incorporate copper into so many of the grounding tools and practices I use.

But for me, copper goes beyond its conductivity.

I love the way it feels, the way I feel when I am wearing it, and the connection with the Earth that I experience when I work with it.

Holding copper, wearing our copper spirals, working in the garden with copper, sitting outside with it, or incorporating it into meditation are all ways I personally use copper as part of my grounding practice.

At Sacred Humboldt, you will see copper woven throughout so much of what we do. I combine its natural conductive properties with spirals, sacred geometry, intentional craftsmanship, and connection to the Earth to create tools designed to become part of your own grounding practice.

Copper is one of my favorite tools for grounding, and once I started working with it regularly, I understood why humans have been drawn to this metal for thousands of years.

Don’t Fear Electromagnetic Energy

This part matters most. Electromagnetic energy is not inherently bad. But it is intense.

Your body produces electrical activity and electromagnetic fields. The Earth is electromagnetic. The Sun is electromagnetic. Animals have electrical activity. Nature is filled with electromagnetic phenomena.

The goal is not to become afraid of every WiFi router, solar flare, geomagnetic storm, or spike on a Schumann chart.

It is to become more aware of your environment without becoming afraid of it.

Watch the patterns.

Listen to your body.

Spend more time outside.

Put your hands in the dirt.

Grow something.

Sit under a tree.

Get in the water.

Meditate.

Breathe.

Ground.

And remember that you are the most powerful healing tool of all.

And sometimes you just need to put your feet back on the Earth.

Grounding: Come Back to the Earth

When I feel depleted, overstimulated, anxious, scattered, achy, unable to sleep, or just plain off, one of the first things I do is ground.

Grounding can help calm us, settle an overstimulated nervous system, reduce stress and tension, and bring our awareness back into our bodies. When you are experiencing symptoms during periods of intense environmental activity, grounding is one of the simplest things you can try to see if it helps you feel better.

And we tend to make grounding much more complicated than it needs to be.

You do not need a grounding mat, special device, expensive technology, or anything else to ground yourself.

You already have everything you need.

Put your bare feet in the grass.

Sit against a tree. (I also highly recommend hugging it)

Dig your hands into the soil.

Work in your garden.

Walk through the forest.

Sit beside the ocean or a river.

Lie on the ground.

Take slow breaths outside.

Meditate.

Garden.

Swim.

Watch the sunset.

Touch the Earth.

The only real rule I use for grounding is this: do something that makes you feel good and helps you reconnect with the Earth and your body.

Sometimes grounding means actual electrical contact with the Earth. Sometimes we are using the word more broadly to describe practices that calm the nervous system, bring our attention back into our bodies, and reconnect us with the natural world.

Both matter.
